Week One Hundred and Nine

We've spent some time recently fixing up the backyard. The jungle has been trimmed back, the fountain and the chairs brought out of storage, and the garden patch is now covered in rubber chips for Zeeke to roll around in. And there's plenty of concrete on which to draw. We're getting so much use out of it, even visiting it twice a day. In the mornings, Zeeke & Steve go outside to practice tricycle riding and to water the peas and the flowers. After school, Zeeke usually wants to head right back outside to play with balls and trucks, draw with chalk, and listen to the fountain and the birds. Even if the rain is pouring down on the front of the house, he insists on running to the back door in case the weather is nicer out back.
Monday, Zeeke brought his face close to Steve's, stared into his eyes and said, "Daddy green eyes. Not food."
Thursday, Zeeke made a list of the people whom we know who have "boobies" while giggling furiously.

Conversations with Zeeke:
"Zeeke, how many fingers do you have?"
"Many."
