Week Eighty-Seven

We celebrated New Year’s Eve in Chestnut Hill at a sleep over with Jen, Kim & the twins and Dena. Fortunately none of the toddlers stayed up until midnight and miraculously all of the adults did! Dena sat in the back with Zeeke on the drive home and he began chanting her name ceaselessly as soon as we dropped her off. Zeeke was back in school the next day but home on account of snow on Friday. Despite a recent obsession with ice, Zeeke had no interest in its cousin snow. To make their way to music class in the frozen tundra, Steve strapped Zeeke on to his back with our new backpack carrier and Zeeke had a blast riding in it (thank you Jay, Brenda & Avery). To help keep Zeeke from getting frustrated when fitting letters back into his alphabet mat, Karen taught him to "pat pat pat" them in, which has turned into a fun game. Sunday we went to the Please Touch Museum with the twins and then out for dinner at Han Dynasty where Zeeke amazed us by using chop sticks pretty much correctly!
